Step One: A Free Site Evaluation

Typically we do not have enough information to give you a specific price during the first visit so we will have an Encon Solar Specialist meet with you at your home to discuss your expectations and needs. They will also take a look at several things while they are there; including orientation, roof pitch, shading, main breaker panel and your electric bills.

Step Two: Reviewing the options

The same specialist that you met with for the site evaluation will sit down with you and review what the options are. We will show you a preliminary layout of your solar array as well as a financial summary of how your solar system will benefit you and your family.
This is a great time to have a list of any questions, concerns, or reservations about solar ready.

Step Three: Your Approval

Once all of your questions are answered and you’re ready to move forward, you will be presented with a contract for your review and signature. Aside from a couple more signatures, Encon’s team will prepare and submit all documents for permits, interconnection with the utility and state rebates on your behalf.

Step Four: Installation

After we have acquired all necessary permits and materials have been delivered we can begin the installation. Most residential systems can be installed in a week or less. Our team of installers is courteous and takes pride in keeping a neat and clean appearance and work area.

Step Five: Customer Walkthrough

Once the system is installed, we will take you through the system. We will show you what each part is and what its function is. We will show you the shut-down and start-up procedures in the event that the system needs to be turned off for any reason. In case you forget, don’t worry, we will leave you with a complete operations manual to refer to.

Step Six: Inspections

The final inspections will occur in the following order:

• Local building/electrical inspection
• Utility inspection (may be waived)
• CEFIA/NYSERDA inspection

Once we get the final Utility approval we can turn the system on and you can start generating your own energy!
